Ty Cobb wields the camera

Ty Cobb, in his rookie year of 1907, wielding a camera at League Park in Cleveland, Ohio. He is photographing an unknown Cleveland Naps player. He in turn is being photographed by Cleveland News photographer Doc Rollins. We know it is likely 1907 based on the Cleveland uniform with the double striped socks.

It is rare to see a major Deadball Era Hall of Famer using a camera on the field. The camera itself is likely a Folmer & Scwhing Press Graflex 5 x 7 camera. An example of the camera, which was released in 1907, and the one Cobb is using are shown below. (Special thanks to Paul Reiferson for identifying the camera)
