These two prints of Rube Manning are part of a motion sequence by Pictorial News Co. in 1907. We see him at the top of his windup on tiptoes and during his follow through. We know the image is 1907 based on the uniform. Note the “W” on his cap in the follow through. He was acquired by the New York Highlanders from the Williamsport Millionaires during the 1907 season. The “W” cap was his Williamsport cap which he must have still been wearing shortly after his acquisition. An early example of a motion sequence as well.
