Shot of Jake Stahl from 1908, the only year he played for the New York Highlanders. The image is by the Pictorial News as we know by the red stamp that is barely bleeding through at the upper left. This can be seen in an heightened contrast black and white scan seen below.

This image was used for Stahl’s T3 card, one of his T206 cards and a Police Gazette supplement. Interesting, all have cleared away the “NY” on his jersey and inserted “Boston” or left it blank.

Below the “Pictorial News Co.” stamp can be seen. Also shown is another example of the stamp which clearly identifies it as the same stamp from circa 1908.
