Haworth’s A’s vs. Tigers crowd scene, 1909

Haworth’s, which produced the Jack Lapp and Jack Coombs RPPCs in the Collection in 1911, was a photography store in Philadelphia. This was likely their first foray into baseball postcards.

This ad appeared in the August 8, 1909 edition of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Clearly this ad describes our postcard and the scene we see is the crowd at Shibe Park for a A’s vs. Tigers game.
