Frank “Home Run” Baker, 1909 by Louis Van Oeyen

One of the best images of Home Run Baker by Louis Van Oeyen who at his prime.

This image is from 1909, Baker’s rookie season. We know that from the cap, collar and two strip socks which the A’s used in 1909. The clincher is Cleveland’s League Park in the background, by 1910 the stadium had been redone.

Note the Van Oeyen blind stamp which is behind Baker’s left heel.
