This a hand colored magic lantern glass slide of the players on the World Tour in front of the Sphinx in Egypt. The artistry of the colorist was outstanding, at first glance the image appears to be a color photograph.

The tourist were in Egypt in January of 1914. Note that several players are wearing an Egyptian fez. Also note the film camera at the right of the photo. A film of the tour was made and shown in theaters, although it is likely lost to history now.
