1910 Philadelphia A’s composite RPPC

Rarely seen real photo composite postcard of the World Champion A’s, likely issued during the 1911 World Series. The October 28, 1911 postmark is only two days after the A’s completed their victorious series against the New York Giants. “Champion Athletics” could refer to the A.L. Pennant or the World Series depending on the actual date of issue. Even those things point to a 1911 issue, the presence of Ben Houser on the RPPC indicates it is a 1910 issue as he only played for Philadelphia in 1910.

Note the photo of Lapp seen on the RPPC is the same as seen on the 1911 Hayworth Lapp also in the Collection.
