Prior to the 1910 World Series Connie Mack put together a team of American League All-Stars, under the management of Jimmy McAleer, to face his Philadelphia Athletics in preparation for the World Series. It paid off as the A’s went on to win the 1910 World Series. This photo is a snippet of the larger photo showing McAleer’s All-Stars.

This image of Tinker was taken by Francis P. Burke of Burke & Atwell. The image appeared in the October 24, 1910 Lincoln Daily Star newspaper. Note the paper tag on the original print which appears in the newspaper image. Battered, but beautiful!
