This image depicts Bender coming off the field in a postcard snapped by a fan on the third base line on September 1, 1913 at Shibe Park in Philadelphia.

This is the same game, and by the same photographer, as the 1913 Bender on the Mound postcard also in the Collection. It is likely it is Eddie Collins, the second baseman, is to the left of Bender, and Home Run Baker, the third baseman, to his far left.

Note the handwriting on the message on back is the same as the handwritten description embedded on the postcard’s front.
