Tris Speaker photo circa 1909 based on the uniform. One of Speaker’s finest on field images, this pose is just a tick off of his T3 image. The shot shows Speaker in his road uniform and was taken in Detroit’s Bennett Park as evidenced by the clapboard fencing and row of openings at the roofline. The “Filed before June 1919” stamp on back means it was owned by the The Detroit News, which makes sense as the image was shot there.
